Dental Hygienist – Full-time (Mankato, MN)


Position Summary

Open Door Health Center in Mankato, MN is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate for a full-time position. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for assessing patient dental needs and delivering direct dental care and associated services utilizing established dental hygiene protocol and procedures in a professional and patient-focused manner. He/She provides dental education to a diverse patient population. The Dental Hygienist is a member of the dental team and works cooperatively with co-workers, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and the ODHC Administration in imparting an overall positive philosophy and work environment within the dental clinic.


Minimum Qualifications

The Dental Hygienist must have a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and hold a current registration/license in Minnesota. He/She must have the proven ability to independently assess the nature and extent of dental, periodontal and associated conditions and pathology in dental patients. The Dental Hygienist must be able to perform a full range of established dental hygienist protocol and procedures with a thorough knowledge of equipment and instruments required to perform said services in routine an emergency patient encounters. He/she must have excellent communication skills, understand the needs of the underserved populations, and have the ability to build positive relationships. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
