School Outreach - Marshall
A healthy mouth is an important part of overall health and wellness, and a healthy child is more ready to learn!
In partnership with Marshall Public Schools (MPS), Open Door Health Center (ODHC) is pleased to be bringing oral health services to Park Side, West Side, and Middle School. As part of this agreement, information will be shared between MPD and ODHC to benefit your child’s health. ODHC’s dental team consists of Dentists, Hygienists, & Assistants. The intent of the program, School Based Outreach, is to provide oral health evaluation, exams by the dentist, x-rays, fluoride varnish, cleanings and sealants (if needed) to children who are in Kindergarten through 6th Grade. This service will take approximately 30 minutes per student. Parents will receive a report on the care provided and be notified if follow-up is recommended. The fluoride varnish and sealants, along with brushing and flossing, will help prevent cavities. The child will receive a toothbrush and instructions for good oral hygiene.
